Selon Variety, Jennifer Hudson qui a été révélée par American Idol et qui a joué dans le film Dreamgirls jouera dans Sex and the city le film. Elle interprétera l’asistante de Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker). On y retrouvera tous les personnages principaux de la série Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Samantha (Kim Cattrall) ou encore Mr Big (Chris Noth). le tournage est prévu le 19 septembre prochain sous la direction de Michael Patrick King.
